Paul Adom-Otchere, the host of Metro TV’s “Good Night Ghana,” has slammed the Paramount Chief of Asogli State, Tobge Afede XIV, for his insincerity.
Based on him, Togbe Afede’s return of GHS350,000, which was offered to him as an ex-gratia for serving on the Council of State, was not real.
Adom-Otchere argued on his present that the revered chief should have paid again more than the GHS360,000 ex-gratia.

He stated that Togbe Afede XIV, as a member of the Council of State, solely attended 16 p.c of the periods but obtained all of his wages.
“The Council of State convened 242 periods in 48 months, and Togbe Afede XIV attended 39 [meetings], accounting for 16 p.c,” Adom-Otchere remarked when analyzing Togbe Afede’s letter explaining why he rejected the improper ex-gratia positioned into his account.

He defined, “the Council of State is paid each month and he [Togbe Afede] took all his salaries, of which he’s entitled to it. In giving us the narrations, he should have acknowledged that he was unable to attend all the conferences of the Council of State, but he took all his salaries together with his automotive mortgage, a waiver from Ghana Ports and Harbour’s Authority to import vehicles…the quantity of monies authorities [took] off the loans that had been paid to the Council of State members are more than the GH¢365k he’s speaking about, for an individual who solely attended 16 p.c of Council of State conferences…
“In case you verify the Council of State transportation allowances, Togbe’s allowance had been paid as of coming from Ho in the Volta area; a few of the members instructed me that ordinarily, he lives in Accra however he stated he was coming from Ho.”
“Out of 242 conferences that had been held [by the Council of State], Togbe Afede, who chair’s a committee and whose conferences are few – as a md he was usually not accessible – attended 16 p.c of the conferences and he took each allowance…
The Paramount Chief and the Agbogbomefia, in response to Adom-Otchere, should be capable of repay more than GH365k of the cash he has refunded.
